Almost completely rebuilt in early C15 by Reverend Thomas Patesley, d.1411. The spire blew down in 1708 and the tower collapsed in 1798 and rebuilt by shortening one bay of the nave. The church was restored by Richard Reynolds Rowe, (1824-1899). The Jacobean pulpit of 1626 was once a triple decker but now much altered.
